Tools to connect to Linux from Windows (Putty and MobaXterm)

Putty is the most popular tool to connect to the Linux server. Putty is a very simple application interface that can open different port connections. Download Putty from https://putty.en.softonic.com/ or Get Putty (Unofficial) – Microsoft Store

Click on the icon and enter the connection properties. enter the address and port (most commonly 22)

Click on open

Now login using your user name and password.

If you are logging into the server for the first time, you will get a message similar to the below. hit yes if the address is correct.

Using MobaXTerm

Click on MobaXterm

Click on Seesion to setup SSH connectivity

Click on SSH

Add host connection information

MobaXTerm

Now login using your user name and password
